It's certainly not as easy to blog with 2 little girls as it was with just 1 ;) Just a quick update on our lives...
Gabby recently had to deal with 2 nasty spider bites (and the horrible reaction she has to any and all insect bites) on one of her ankles, it is finally just about healed now, thank goodness. She also has had some sort of unidentifiable rash on the soles of her feet. No one can tell us what it is. Pretty frustrating as it causes her a great deal of pain and discomfort. For right now we seemed to have figured out how to ease her pain but some answers and a fix sure would be nice!! Aside from those issues and a minor cold she is doing great =) (she is weighing in at aprox 27lbs, not sure on her height...)
Gracey also has a cold but it seems much nastier when it's your 3 week old dealing with it =/ The poor little babe had a rough night a few nights ago and I was so worried she wouldn't be able to breathe at some point during the night I just stayed awake and watched/listened to her. That was a very long night. And made for a very tired Mumma the next day!! She is doing better today though, and last night was not nearly as rough as the previous. We got some saline for her nose and have been sucking the heck out of it with that awesome bulb syringe thingy. Who knew so much junk could be in such a little girl's nose?! Her jaundice appears to be completely gone! It's great to see her thriving and doing so well, and be a normal color lol Kimberly and Gabby both had bad jaundice as well, but theirs lasted quite a bit longer. We have had a couple Drs appts and I know she is growing, both for the fact that I have seen the number on the scale go up, some of her little Newborn clothes are already not fitting, and we have had to move up in diaper size (the latter is still a work in progress as we are using up the last of the Newborn size diapers we have and going ahead with the size 1s) Seriously so bittersweet. On the one hand it is amazing and wonderful and heartwarming to see your baby thrive and grow, it is so sad and heartbreaking as well. There are just times when I wish I could push pause on them and savor the little beings they are right now for a bit longer.
Growth:
*Birth 7lbs
*1 wk 7.02lbs
*2 wks 7.13lbs
*3 wks 8.125lbs
Gracey is growing too fast.
Gabby is growing too fast.
Kimberly is growing too fast.
*sigh*
On another note, MY Mumma should be visiting soon! Cant. Wait.
