Our Baby is a Toddler
Okay, so I'm way past where I should be on updating Gabby's 1 year info, but better late than never, right? =) Here are some recent stats/achievements/updates (*the weight/height isn't exact as I don't have the info right in front of me and my MS brain makes my memory all but obsolete it seems)
- 19lbs 15oz*
- 30inches*
- Up to date on all her shots (makes her sound like a puppy!) She only cried for a few seconds!
- Has been completely weaned from a bottle and formula for almost a month now! She is drinking lots of different things (all from her sippy cups) including 2% milk, flavored soy milk, some weird strawberry 'toddler' milk like product that Im not too sure of, lots of juices & water, the latter of which she isnt too fond of still.
- Her fave food by far is homemade pizza =) She is doing great eating all the things we eat & has been trying to perfect using her fork and spoon.
- She stood unassisted for the first time the day before my birthday (the 18th) and that was quickly followed by her taking her first steps!!! She took 4 steps to Daddy and then plopped right down on her butt! It was great. She hasn't done it since lol She has stood alone for growing periods of time & has taken a tentative step here and there but I'm sure she will get the hang of it soon.
- She is trying to be very verbal with us about all sorts of goings on but just cant seem to find the words. She has taken to pointing at things and then sort of grunting to us as if asking us what the object in question is. She currently thinks almost every animal is a dog and loves to 'woof woof' every time she sees or hears one.
- To our amusement she has taken up a love of dancing! She shakes her lil tush all the time and it is just downright hilarious.
