Oklahoma City Zoo

So, while in the kitchen doing some baking I thought I heard a little voice calling for her Mumma...I turned and this is what I saw. My favorite sight!

We went to the Oklahoma City Zoo this past weekend. We were a little nervous at first as it was raining when we left but the day ended up turning out perfect!

At the Gorilla Pavillion Kimberly got to do some bonding! This Gorilla was watching her and came over with a piece of cloth on his head and he was copying her movements and everything! It was awesome!

Here's another guy just chilling and giving us the 'rocker' pose!

Above is the Lead Silverback. He was beautiful and majestic and was having a great time just laying around in the shade playing with his feet!
We also got to see a VERY pregnant Gorilla! I felt bad for her since so many people in the viewing area were picking on her, but I thought she was gorgeous! And there is another lil guy just chilling down there...

Kimberly looked less than pleased that her hand was almost as big as a Chimps lol And there is a pic of one of the 'tangs. He looked very sad =(

This 'tang was much more active and not nearly as depressed.

In each picture below...there is something that was at the zoo when we got there, can you guess which one? lol

This lil guy was just a'hoppin around at the lunch pavillion. He looked SO hungry so we stayed for a bit and fed him some of our apple slices.

PHEW...It was a bit hot out there around noontime! We got to take a break in the A/C of the Bear Pavillion.

Here are the Grizzly Bears on their way to the glass for viewing, and look how impressed I look as we were flooded with spectators as Gabby ate her lunch.

Another snack for Gabby!

David managed to capture some Galapogas Tortoises doing the deed. Awesome!

Flamingos! I love them =)

Some bonding with the other Tortoise! Kimberly seemed to have another special connection!

Just getting cooled off with Kimberly in one of the misters, thank god!

Enjoying some lizard time lol

David was very impressed with the snakes in the herpetarium.

Getting all set up to head in!

David practicing with the beer carrier, I mean baby carrier! (look closely there is no baby, just a beer lol)
